Lennie Barblett is a senior lecturer and researcher in the early childhood program at Edith Cowan University in Western Australia. Lennie worked for the Education Department for 15 years as an early childhood educator before returning to University and continuing her studies. She has a keen interest in quality early childhood curriculum and practices, effective environments and young children’s social and emotional development. Lennie was the convener of the Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics working party and in 2011 she travelled around Australia as a facilitator with the Professional Learning Program on the Early Years Learning Framework and is a moderator on the NQS PLP e-forum.

Peter C. Lippman Assoc. AIA, REFP, is an Educational Resource Planner and has dedicated his 15 year professional career to researching, programming, and planning learning environments. He has a Bachelor’s in Architecture and a Masters degree in Psychology. He uses various research methodologies to evaluate environments and make appropriate design recommendations.

Tim McDonaldDr Tim McDonald

Dr Tim McDonald took up his position as Director of Catholic Education in WA in November 2012. Tim held the position of Associate Professor at Edith Cowan University (ECU) where he taught Classroom Management and Instructional Skills and led a new innovation in teacher education called the Residency Program. Tim’s research has been in the area of student engagement and challenging behaviours. Tim’s approach is practical and realistic as reflected in his book Classroom Management: Engaging students in learning.
