Keynote Speakers:

John Hattie’s Visible Learning Research presenter Deb Masters 

Deb is a Principal Consultant at Cognition Education and the Director of Visible Learningplus. She manages products and services internationally for the company.
Through her extensive experience in primary and secondary teaching, Deb has a background in assessment, previously holding a senior assessment role with the Ministry of Education in Wellington.
Deb has responsibility for developing the Visible Learning professional development model in partnership with John Hattie.  She is also heavily involved in developing Visible Learning training and support materials, training Visible Learning facilitators and in delivering Visible Learning training globally.

Dr Marianne Knaus Marianne Knaus

Marianne is a Senior Lecturer in Early Childhood Studies for the School of Education in the Faculty of Education and Arts. She has experience working in a wide variety of early childhood settings including preschools, childcare centres and schools in QLD and NSW. As a TAFE teacher, Marianne taught in the Children’s Services programs for 11 years. Marianne was employed at the University of New England in Armidale NSW before moving to Perth, WA. In 2013 Marianne published the book “Maths is all around you: Developing mathematical concepts in the early years”.


Susie RosbackSusie Rosback

As an accomplished early childhood educator, leader, consultant, author, lecturer and speaker, Susie has had significant experience in educating children in the community based and private school systems. With consulting experience in the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS), Susie has written five acclaimed books and spoken regularly at state and national conferences as well as lecturing in University courses.
Susie brings a proven track record in reaching the highest standards in education and care in early childhood, developing teams and leadership skills, and creating better outcomes for children throughout Australia.
She is the author of “The EYLF and NQS Without Tears”
As educators across Australia move towards meeting the demands of the new National Quality Framework, they need to understand the context and the requirements for their future work. This very practical book has been written to reassure educators that meeting these requirements is indeed achievable.
